When Bob loses his other job, the ice cream truck becomes his full-time residence. The biggest struggle is keeping his inventory frozen. That, and not eating too many Fudgsicles, Choco Tacos, and Push-Pops. Another challenge is finding a safe parking place at night. A quiet neighborhood street? No bueno. His pink and white truck sticks out like a unicorn under a street light. Bob plugs in downtown, where a rig blends in with the urban noise. He gets occasional early morning knocks from drunks, wanting ice cream. “I don’t have any,” he says. “Why not!?” He laughs, “I ate it.”
