
An inner city high school was a frequent target of neighborhood vandals and thieves. But they disabled the alarm system and spray-painted over the video cameras, making it hard to catch them in the act. The district said there was no money to make the school secure again, so the principal hatched a plan. He hired Apollo and Odin as night watchmen, but didn’t tell human resources his new “security team” were Doberman Pinschers. The snarling dogs kept would-be criminals out of the multi-story building. But it didn’t last long. The two were soon fired for smoking in the elevator.
