After The Satellite Swap, zoologist Doug realizes he’s crossing an ethical line with the squirrel monkeys. Trading a banana slice to get his fountain pen back from a primate ambassador is one thing, but feeding troop members from his treehouse deck is another. He decides to keep interacting with Charlie, but stow his important research gear out of the bold monkey’s reach. Thankfully, providing figs for the group, to get his satellite phone back, becomes a turning point. The next morning, Charlie brings a mother and her baby within ten feet of the treehouse. It’s a sure sign of trust.
