Note: This is the 100-word sequel to yesterday’s 50-word dribble, As Is.

Day seven. Tom simply cannot spend another twenty-four hours in the maddening time loop. Scrounging, he discovers a book under the passenger seat of the DeLorean: Time Travel For Dummies. As the castaway scans the table of contents, his eyes widen: “What to do if you’re stuck in a time loop.” He eagerly reads the step-by-step instructions and follows them carefully. Once the Flux Capacitor reboot is complete, Tom decides to go back to the future, to the day before he bought the machine.

2026 BC: He bursts into a sheep pasture somewhere in Armenia. The dummy skipped one step.

fun read David, both of them!

I saw a DeLorean driving through Fife one day, it made me stop and look in admiration.

I’m glad you enjoyed the two stories, Alan. I’m considering a part 3.

I’ve seen a DeLorean in real life too! The all stainless steel body looks better in person than any photo can show. Thank you for reading and commenting on my flash fiction pieces. 🙏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇺🇸
