As Is | 50-Word Story

At breakfast, Tom’s cold coffee tastes days old and his buttered toast is like cardboard. The whole day is equally bland, with the malaise stretching into the night. He’s trapped, repeating the same twenty-four hours, but with no reset. Tom dreads answering the ad: “Time machine for sale. As is.”
